Fine Arts & Cultural Programs
Yankton College continues to seek partners in its efforts to sponsor and develop programs of worth. These collaborative efforts encourage and bring fine arts and other cultural programs to the community.
REGIONAL STRING ORCHESTRA FESTIVAL
This event is currently sponsored by Yankton College and held annually in November at the Yankton High School Theatre. The nearly 200 students from South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa attend the day-long festival to learn and play music together under the direction of a professional guest conductor. It ends with an evening performance for the public to attend.

Approved by the Yankton College Board of Trustees, additional funds have been raised and/or were matched to sponsor the following community-based projects:
YANKTON COLLEGE ALUMNI HALL
A 106-seat mini-theatre located in the common-use facility at the Summit Activities Center, Yankton, SD. Ideal for small drama productions, meetings and reunion events.
YANKTON COLLEGE MEMORIAL ORGAN
A three-manual organ with 33 ranks of pipes and a beautiful console were installed in the United Church of Christ, otherwise known as, the First Congregational Church in Yankton, SD, in support given by the congregation to the college over many years.
