Licensed Ministry Program
Yankton College in cooperation with the South Dakota Conference and the
Northern Plains Conference of the United Church of Christ offers the Associate of Theology Degree Program
As the needs and resources of churches change, the face of ministry must also change. The
Associate of Theology Degree Program is an alternative and creative way of providing leadership to the churches of
North and South Dakota. In keeping with the long standing tradition and firm belief that educated pastors and trained
leaders are the best pastors and leaders, the Program offers fifteen courses, which upon successful completion will enable
lay persons to seek licensure to serve the Church and/or be considered for Christian Education Certification.

local parish in the South Dakota Conference and the Northern Plains Conference of the United Church of Christ (or with
